Suspect in Frisco Track Meet Stabbing That KiIIed

On April 3, Austin Metcalf, a Memorial High School student, was fatally injured by 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony during a high school track meet in Frisco. The fight started when Austin requested Karmelo to leave the tent where he was taking cover from the rain.

resulting in conflict. Karmelo reportedly acknowledged the event and stated that he acted in self-defense when the altercation got out of hand. The loss of Austin’s son has had a profound impact on the family. They launched a GoFundMe campaign in his honor,

This has garnered a great deal of community support. The goal of the campaign is to support the family at this trying time. Austin was regarded as a student-athlete with great potential for the future.

In the meantime, Karmelo is being jailed on a $1 million bond after being charged with murder. As they deal with this difficult circumstance, both families have requested respect and assistance during the ensuing legal proceedings.

Both communities have been profoundly affected by the horrific incident, and as the case progresses, efforts to obtain justice are still ongoing.
